Varda Hardy specializes in uniquely compelling content for multiple platforms including theatrical, television, internet and mobile.
She created a provocative sixteen part web series RUNAWAY STARS with Executive Producers Deepak Nayar (“Bend it Like Beckham) and Sandy Grushow (Former CEO Fox Networks) and co-wrote and directed HOUSE OF HEATHER a four-part web/tv pilot with Executive Producers Conrad Riggs (“Survivor”) and Robert Lawrence (“Clueless”).
Branded Entertainment projects include Wal Mart’s HD AMERICAN PORTRAITS, (screened in Wal Mart stores nationwide), SUMMER FUN (for Team Detroit's 2010 Ford Mustang Campaign) and RACE TO THE SKY (music video featuring the new Lincoln MKS, the promo being aired during the 2009 Grammy Awards.) Her viral spot “What Kind of Planet are you on?” created for the Rock For Equality Campaign won “Best Innovation in Video” on YouTube.
Her short film WINDOW, screened at Cannes, was named one of the most “moving shorts” of 2007 by Moving Pictures Magazine and syndicated to major US networks. Another short, MOON, received the MSN Short Film Contest’s Grand Prize launching their “socially relevant” channel “What on Earth?”. “SPARKLE LIPS”, a pseudo-commercial for Vin Diesel’s Sci-Fi feature BABYLON AD was commissioned by Fox Universal. Her feature documentary about Ragbrai, the longest, oldest, largest bike tour in the world is currently in post-production.
Varda Hardy was picked as one of the top new Directors for 2010 by SHOOT Magazine with her work showcased at the DGA in New York. She also co-chairs the Women in Film PSA program/LA where she directs and Exec. Produces PSAs for non-profits.
