With some 200 projects behind him, multiple award-winning Australian DP-turned-director Gary Ravenscroft has a work portfolio which ranges from television commercials and feature films to music videos and documentaries.
His trademark unflinching, innovative visuals and compelling performances have earned him many awards, including 10 prestigious American Advertising Federation Awards, an Australian Film Institute nomination and 8 Awards from the Australian Cinematographers Society.
Most recent work includes directing a multiple-award winning 16-part international “Drugfreeworld” campaign, already the focus of major attention internationally from governments , anti-drug groups and the United Nations.
This follows a string of socially conscious projects including directing several Public Service Announcements for “Youth For Human Rights International” and DPing the critically acclaimed Australian feature “One Perfect Day”.
Karen Lavender
Producer
Karen Lavender’s film career started in South Africa when she directed a documentary about the famous, controversial choreographer Robin Orlin. She worked in television post production and on Shaka Zulu – one of the largest international productions ever filmed in South Africa.
She went on to maintain a successful career in event production, supervising over 500 events in numerous countries, ranging from seminars and benefits to music concerts.
Upon her return to the film industry, Karen started by directing documentaries dealing with human rights issues. She became actively involved in the Women In Film PSA Program, recently receiving an official Commendation from the City of LA and US House of Representatives for a PSA she directed about the Gang Alternatives Program.
Karen has served as an in-house commercial producer for Turbine Films and is the co-founder and Executive Producer of LiveTribe Productions. She has directed or produced numerous independent film projects and music videos, collecting multiple awards for her work as both director and producer.
Jed Rigney
Writer
Jed Rigney is a writer specializing in demented and bizarre comedy. Despite a series of destructive relationships with uncaring women, he has persevered. His work has been described as "prolific" (which is not really a compliment). He is an Aries and therefore quite courageous. He has never been arrested (though he was once "detained" briefly).
