Jimmy Ahlander
Born in Sweden and now living in Los Angeles, Jimmy Ahlander attended the University of Skovde where he studied film and photography. The first animated short he made as part of his curriculum won him several awards and a scholarship for extraordinary talent in animation. He achieved his Bachelor of Arts in Film and Narrative Techniques and also spent several months teaching animation and compositing at the University after he graduated.
Since then Jimmy has directed several short films, music videos and commercials in animated and live action. He has worked as a VFX and Motion Graphics artist on commercials for companies such as Mercedes, Volkswagen, Bridgestone, and Gillette to name a few. He has also collaborated with other artists in Sweden and the USA on various feature film projects.
“ I don't like to follow the recipe, I rather create something that will challenge both me and the audience. I like to be in control over everything I create, I think that's why I choose animation as the best way for me to express myself."
